2003 Grammy nominations announced

Earlier today, Grammy.com posted the official nomination list for the 46th annual Grammy awards ceremony, taking place on Feburary 8, 2004. Nominees of note include Tom Waits ["Best Male Rock Vocal" for his cover of the Ramones' "Return Of Jackie & Judy"], AFI ["Best Boxed Or Special Limited Edition Package"] and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs ["Best Alternative Album"].

The nominating committee keeps up the tradition of ignoring artists until after their death, with George Harrison, Warren Zevon, Johnny Cash, and June Carter Cash all getting Grammy nods.

Other nominated musicians include Outkast, The Flaming Lips, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Foo Fighters, David Cross, Fountains Of Wayne, Radiohead, Coldplay, and The White Stripes. To see the full list of nominees, click here.
