Break-ups: Ultimate Fakebook (1996-2004)
After 8 years, a major label record deal, 3 full-lengths, 1 EP, and a rather unhealthy obsession with hair metal, Ultimate Fakebook have called it a day. The statement from their webpage:
"It is with a heavy heart that I write this...but the rumors you may have heard are true. Yep folks, pretty soon UFB is going to be retiring from touring, as Bill, Nick and Eric branch off in search of new adventures. I cannot say enough how lucky all three of us feel to have even gotten the chance to rock all of you, and we will NEVER EVER forget the great times we've had during the 8 years we've been around. We never would have even gotten anywhere at all without the amazing support so many of you gave us, and we want you to know how much we deeply appreciate how kick ass our fans are. The music will always be there...and the coolest thing ever for us would be for it to inspire anyone out there to go for it, 'quit yer day job' and hit the road for the love of rock. We sure as hell had fun doing it, we have no regrets, and we're damn proud of the records we made. And we all three will continue to make more music, maybe even together, so for those of you interested we'll keep you updated on the musical happenings that blossom up from the fiery ashes of Ultimate Fakebook."
