Tours: Blood Brothers on Tour This July
The Blood Brothers are headed out for a tour this July. and plan to debut material from their upcoming record Crimes. Some words from the band about what to expect from the record and the confirmed dates so far can be found below.
"The new songs are more melodic," explained vocalist Blilie. "They're
more rhythmically driven with bass and drum taking more of a center stage.
On the last record, we placed so much emphasis on the technical side of
what we were playing, we'd get bogged down and over think every song.
When we played the songs live, we'd have to concentrate on the technical
side of playing parts which didn't allow for spontaneity. Since playing
live is what we all like best about being in this band, we agreed to get
back to writing songs where we were `feeling' things out as opposed to
`thinking' things out. Playing live is a lot more fun now."
"'Crimes' has a warmer feeling to it," added guitarist Votolato. "It's
more spacious, there's more finesse and grooves to the music. It's still
crazy, but not as constricted as `Piano.'"
