Clash text message results in terror investigation
Here's a stranger than fiction story for you to laugh at. In the UK a Special Branch officer questioned Mike Devine, a father of two from Bristol, as a terror suspect after the musician sent a text message containing Clash references to the wrong person. Devine plays bass in a Clash tribute group called London Calling. He intended to send the following message to band singer Reg Shaw, with whom he had been discussing the lyrics to a Give Em' Enough Rope song: "How about this for Tommy Gun? OK - so let's agree about the price and make it one jet airliner for 10 prisoners."
Unfortunately the bassist sent the message to the wrong person and a month later the police were at his door. You can read the whole tale on the BBC.
