Judge allows Boston Warped Tour dates to go forward

The Associated Press is reporting that a Superior Court judge has given promoters permission to hold the Vans Warped Tour at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA. This overrides a vote by Foxboro town officials to refuse licenses for the two Warped dates. From the article:

Judge Paul Chernoff ruled Thursday that the Board of Selectmen's concerns about noise and safety were not enough to warrant denying a license for the concerts, the Sun Chronicle of Attleboro reported... A compromise plan calling for two stages inside the stadium and two in the parking lot was also defeated by selectmen earlier this week. It was the first time in more than 20 years that the board had turned down a license for a concert at Gillette or its predecessor, Foxboro Stadium.

Officials from the Foxboro Stadium turned to the courts and it was ruled late Thursday that the selectmen's concerns about the plans were not warranted. The town has said it will abide by the judge's ruling.
