Status Records in trouble

A note from Status Records/Magazine owner Seth Brown:

"Hi friends,

Status Recordings are currently in a jam. We just released our twentieth release and are currently putting the label on hold until we get out of this ditch. The jam we are in is one that most small indie labels either often find themselves in -- a big debt. All we really want to do with Status is stay afloat and keep releasing our usual 2-3 new records a year. As of today Status will always keep our records in print -- just not release any new ones. The label would exist but not do anything new. That's not fun right? No.

So from now until September 1st we will be having a summer time sale. Also known as "Please help us get out of debt...summer time sale." Our prices are very cheap in general (All orders in the United States are postage paid) -- but for the months of July & Aug they will be extremely cheap. The list is below as well as in the "store" and "releases" section of this site. We have been here for all of our friends, fans and supporters -- all we ask is a little support back. You WILL NOT find these prices anywhere cheaper then on the Status site.

We're not asking this to be greedy, we're asking this to help save a business. The survival of Status could be directly tied to the ability to get over this pitfall. If every person that reads this buys just one release from this site the label could be saved.

Sincerely, Seth Brown / Status Recordings."
