The Slackers' game plan: new split, live record, touring
The Slackers have a ton of upcoming releases in the works. First of all their new EP International War Criminal is out and being sold at shows, it should go up for sale on the band's website in the next few days. This fall will see the long awaited Slackers In Dub record released. Also in the works are a split CD with "a yet to be named rock band" and a follow up to their live record Live At Ernesto's with the aptly titled Live At Ernesto's II.
In NYC Dave Hillyard and Vic Ruggiero are both playing gigs with their side projects (Rocksteady 7, Dave Hillyard 5, Vic's Little Blue Pills). As for touring plans The Slackers will again be playing the Rocks Off Boat Cruise (sold out) and have scheduled various east coast US dates. August marks a return to Europe for festival shows. Finally in late September the band will hit California, Utah, Arizona, and Colorado. Some of these upcoming dates can be found on the band's website.
On top of all that we at the `Org would like to congratulate Slackers drummer Ara Babajian on the recent birth of his daughter Julia Iris.
