Alkaline Trio
From Here To Infirmary (2001)
Well, let me just start out by saying, I am probably a little biased. The Alkaline Trio has been one of my favorite bands forever, and well, they just rock! I got ahold of the trio's newest release titled "From Here to the Infirmary" recently, and I decided to let all you know what I thought of it.
At first, I wasn't too sure what to think about this new album. Interviews with the band said that they thought it was different, and the 2 new songs on "Another Year On the Streets" were defnitely in a different vain then their previous albums. Those songs were still great, but I was unsure about an entire album like that.
This album defnitely is classic Trio, with a little bit of a different sound. Their lyrics are still random and full of poetic meaning, in a way that only the Alkaline Trio could do. I still am yet to find a song on this album that just doesn't rock! I highly reccomend this album to any old fans, and of course, everyone who isn't a fan should at least give it 2-3 listens. Overall, this album is just as good, if not better, than anything else they have done. So run out to your record stores on the 24th of April and buy this album.
Also, go catch these guys live. They will be touring extensively starting in late March (with Blink 182 in late April, the followed by a full U.S. tour).
