Sub Pop has signed Olympia, WA-based indie/punk trio Sleater-Kinney who join the label after four records with Kill Rock Stars, the most recent of which was 2002's One Beat. You can check out Sub Pop's page for the band.

On November 5th, Sleater-Kinney will begin recording a new album with producer Dave Fridmann at Tarbox Road Studios in rural New York. They plan to spend much of November and December working on the record, with hopes of releasing it in late spring/early summer 2005.

The band will also be playing a New Year's Eve show at NYC's Madison Square Garden with Wilco and The Flaming Lips.
