Bigwig has made a post on their site regarding the recording of their new album, new members, and upcoming tour plans.
The band has been in the studio for approximately the last month recording to the followup to 2001's An Invitation To Tragedy. The record will have between 12-14 brand new tracks, written over about the last year. The band will be in the studio the rest of this month with Tom laying down vocals. Fearless will put out the album in late March or early April.
They've also offically announced two new additions to the lineup. Friend Zak, who had been touring with the band in Canada this year with Death By Stereo, Tsunami Bomb, and Belvedere, will officially be playing bass for the band. Jeff Powers, who has been with the band for several months and contributed to the songwriting process for the new album, is the newest second guitarist.
2005 will find the band touring the states, Canada, Europe, and possibly Australia and Japan.

A NEW POST!!!!!!!!!
Hello everyone. I know this post is so over due that the next time you see us, headlocks and ddt's are in order. Within the last year and a half we have done some touring all over Canada, the states, and No Use for a Name brought us over to Europe for 30 days of debauchery. Something like 16 countries in 30 days, it was insane and a great learning experience for us. Those guys are fucking fun to tour with. But anyway we've been hard at work recording the follow up to 2001's Invitation to Tragedy. We've been in the studio for the last month or so fine tuning and nit picking everything and pretty much driving ourselves crazy, but it will all mean something when we are done. The record will have somewhere between 12-14 NEW never before heard songs on it, written over the last year or so.
Speaking of the last year, we've had 2 new additions to our band. Zak, our friend from somewhere other than this planet, and whom we've known for quite some time has decided to play with us. When he isn't listening to Andrew W.K. or destroying things wherever he goes(due to his 6'5" stature) he is playing the bass in bigwig. Some of you may have met him on our 2004 Canadian tour that we did with Death By Stereo, Tsunami Bomb and Belvedere. He's an awesome guy that is always down for doing anything (we mean it) and a great friend, so we're happy to have him aboard. Now i know you are all thinking about who is wielding the other axe in bigwig along with Tom, his name is Jeff Powers. Jeff fucking shreds, he makes Eddie Van Halen look like Sammy Hagar. But seriously, Jeff has been with bigwig for a couple of months now and has contributed to the song writing process along with the rest of us and we're stoked to have him in the band.
We will be in the studio for the remainder of December watching Tom do his vocals. After that, Fearless will be putting out the record some time in late March early April…soon as we get the date we'll let everyone know. We will then head out and tour the states, Canada, Europe, and hopefully Australia and Japan.
We would like to thank everyone that has helped us in one way or another this past year and a half….Brent H., John C, Dan Garcia, Duncan, Page and everyone at the Union Label Group, No use and Dave Pollock over at Destiny, Death By Stereo, Stereotyperider, Tsunami Bomb, Belvedere, Less Than Jake, Sum 41, Captain Everything, Punchline, Catch 22, Protest The Hero, Big D, The Planet Smashers, Kevin Lyman and Warped Crew, and all of our fans who keep writing us e-mails, coming to shows and believing in our band. Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing all of you in the very near future. 2005 is going to rule……………….
