Italy's Settlefish are set to release their second full-length, The Plural Of The Choir, through Deep Elm / Unhip in most of Europe on March 29th. The North American / United Kingdom edition will be distributed by Deep Elm and released on April 26th.
Recorded and co-produced by Brian Deck (Modest Mouse, Iron & Wine), the followup to 2003's Dance A While, Upset promises to be Settlefish's "most ambitious, poignant work to date, with songs that move from sweeping, haunting mini-epics to terse, pulsating blasts of cacophony that find themselves equally at home with the indie and post-hardcore set alike."
Art for the disc was done by Tae Won Yu, who has done work for the likes of Built To Spill, Beck, and the John Spencer Blues Explosion. According to Yu, the images are "a reflection of the band's elaborate, intertwining lyrics of consequence and the give-and-take of the human condition."
