Antifreeze has broken up. According to the band's pureVOLUME page, the disbandment took place November 2004. The band's last album was 2003's The Search For Something More.

Members and ex-members of the band have subsequently formed the Starrs, who are currently writing and recording their first album. Though the record has a tentative release in the spring, no label backing has been announced yet. The Starrs "[take] the melodic/pop idea of Antifreeze [back] to a more basic mid-tempo rock."
