:Contrary to what Punkbands.com reported, the Blue Meanies did NOT officially announce their breakup at their show at the Metro in Chicago. What they did say is that the show was the last time all 7 of them would share the stage at the Metro. The reason being, Jimmy Flame [sax player] is leaving the band due to health problems. Their future is still up in the air, but they have not made definite decision as to whether they will continue as a band or not. You can read all about it in their tour diary located here.
