The Weirdos have postponed the second leg of their 16 date US tour due to illness. The dates were begin this past Tuesday March 8th in El Paso, TX. Additional postponed dates include March 9th in San Antonio, March 10th in New Orleans, March 11th in Austin, March 12th in Dallas, and Friday March 19th again in Austin, TX (for SXSW). The band plans to make these dates up in the near future.

On January 3rd of this year Dix Denney was hospitalized for seven days at Mountains Community Hospital in Lake Arrowhead, Ca for pneumonia. Dix was prescribed extended bed rest by the hospital after his release, but against doctor's orders he tried to honour the Weirdos' tour commitments. However the band encountered blizzard-like conditions on their way to a Denver date and his condition worsened. He was able to continue the tour until the band's Southern Californian shows this past weekend when he again had to seek medical attention. He has again been prescribed bed rest and (following the doctor's orders this time) is expected to fully recover.
