Northstar has announced their breakup. The band, who had originally announced that they were going on hiatus, posted the following on their website:

Due to our personal reasons, Northstar has decided to call it quits. Thank you to everyone who has supported us in some way or another. Without you we wouldnt have even made it this far. We will still be writing… and performing… in the future, so be on the lookout for our next musical endeavor(s). Thank You."

The band's last release was the Triple Crown-released Pollyanna.
