The Bay Area's Pitch Black has announced their breakup on the band's messageboard. Drummer Jamie Morrison posted the following:

Someone has to drop the bomb and it might as well be me. Pitch Black has called it K'putz, bought the farm…..an EX-Parrot! There is no gossip behind any of this--we just called it quits mutually. I hope everyone respects that. We all adore each other, but maintain very busy lives outside of Pitch Black…

We're gonna have a fairwell show at Gilman eventually in a few months, and play every song we ever recorded.
