Even with a greatest hits release due out June 21st from The Offspring, the band has announced plans to work on new material for the follow up to Splinter. According to this story, the upcoming record will include "fast melodic punk stuff [and] some tongue-in-cheek, humorous, more fun stuff,." The record is expected next summer.

Also, the band has promised plenty of older material including songs from 1993's Ignition and their 1989 debut Offspring as part of their setlist on the upcoming Warped Tour. Following their run on Warped, the band is planning to head to Europe in September and Japan in October.
