Bay Area punk/hardcore quintet The Program have broken up. The band announced the split after their Las Vegas show on August 4. Vocalist Jesse Ro posted the following on the band's website:
The Program truely regret to inform all of you that we have broken up. Last night was the cap of a 4 year run of bad breaks and sketchy happenings. We will be taking this time to dial in our lives, return to school, and begin the next step of things to come. Thank you all for your support over the years and we apologies to the 25 people who were psyched to see us on this tour. We will all be starting new projects, the details of which will be named later. PEACE OUT!
The band released Artificial Unintelligence in 2003 on Stillborn Records. The group also recently wrapped up recording of a five-song EP titled Die Dancing, two songs from which are posted on the band's MySpace page. No word on if Stillborn will give the disc an official release or not.
