With stories of so many touring bands being robbed and typically left in a difficult position, some more positive news has come out of the Big D and the Kids Table camp:
Besides that, I just want to mention that stealing is bad…especially when you steal from Big D and the Kids Table. I'd like to send a big thank you out to Duggan and the rest of our buddies in the Lost City Angels.While we were onstage at the Skatefest show this past weekend in Worcester, some stupid kid decided to snoop around our backstage room and go through our stuff. Duggan just happened to go back into our room…to get a beer…and noticed a kid going through Steve's bag. He had Steve's Pandora's Box (an amp simulator - about $200) in his hand. The kid asked Duggan if he knew whose it was, Duggan said no…playing dumb. So, Duggan left and waited for the kid to leave our room. Duggan went back into our room to check the box to see if Steve's gear was there…it wasn't. Duggan chased the kid down, confronted him and found it on him!
Then he brought the little punk onstage, in front of all of us and the crowd, to apologize. I'm assuming the kid is regretting what he did, if you were at the show, you know what happened.
The band has a number of dates lined up over the next few months, including tours with The Pietasters, Dropkick Murphys and their 9th annual Halloween show which will continue despite the recent break up of co-headliners Kicked In the Head. Joining the band will be Street Dogs, River City Rebels, Brain Failure, and the Phenomenauts.
