Fat Wreck Chords has posted an update on the upcoming record from The Lawrence Arms. The record will be titled Oh! Calcutta! and is slated for a March 2006 release.

The band has been documenting the progress of recording on their Myspace page and their official website. To date, the band has completed the demo recordings which will be pared down to the final track listing for the album.

Co-vocalist Brendan Kelly posted this update on the band's website:

Two US tours, Japan, Europe, Australia, a new B-sides record, and recording a new album…It's a fucking good thing we were on hiatus. In March, when the new record comes out, we're going off this hiatus, so you can all expect us to be playing shows every minute of every day until 2007.

The new album will be the proper followup to 2003's The Greatest Story Ever Told. Producer Matt Allison, responsible for the band's last two full-lengths and the engineering for the recent B-sides compilation Cocktails & Dreams, has once again been rounded up for the recording.
