Underoath is the latest band confirmed for the 2006 edition of the Warped Tour. They will join the lineup which includes Anti-Flag, Thursday, Rise Against, NOFX, Motion City Soundtrack, and From First to Last.
The Solid State act recently released the deluxe version of the 2004 release, They're Only Chasing Safety which included a new layout from Converge frontman Jacob Bannon, as well as four rare tracks including one from the vinyl release of Chasing Safety and early demos from the Chasing Safety sessions. Rounding out the package is a DVD which aims to document a "behind the scenes" look at the band.
Though the first band was confirmed only in the first half of November, the upcoming Warped Tour has already seen some controversy, particularly the recent letter from organizer Kevin Lyman about bands taking advantage of the tour's vast reach and sponsorship opportunities.
In related news, bands looking to perform on the Hot Topic/Kevin Says Stage can expect an online application form to be available as early as January 1st, 2006.
Update: Against Me! has been confirmed for the tour as well. The Fat Wreck Chords band, whose label recently launched their revamped website, released Searching for a Former Clarity earlier this year, headlined Fat's recent label tour, and also have dates planned in the UK and Australia early next year.
