Relapse has announced the signing of political grindcore act, Misery Index. The Baltimore-based quartet previously released Retaliate via Nuclear Blast/EMI and also a handful of splits and EPs.

They are currently in the studio in Atlanta, Georgia working on their Relapse debut with producer/engineer Eyal Levi and are aiming for a May 2006 release. The band is described as "pushing the boundaries of metal, hardcore and punk" and some sample tracks can be found here.
