Michale Graves will embark on a two-month long US tour at the end of March to promote Damien Echols' new book "Almost Home." The Almost Home 2006 tour will visit 55 cities across the country leading up to WM3 World Awareness Day on June 3. Graves made this statement on his website:
It is my intent to reach out to as many people as I can, as so many others have in the past, using the media, the internet, spoken word, music and activism to give Damien's' words and story a greater chance of being heard and continue this fight for truth and justice where there has been none so far. I urge everyone to help, contribute and get involved in this anyway that they can.
Damien Echols is an inmate on death row, one of the trio known as the West Memphis Three. It is widely believed that the WM3 were unjustly tried and convicted of the murder of three young boys in West Memphis, Arkansas. Their cause has been championed by many in the punk music scene, most prominently by Henry Rollins via his Rise Above compilation in 2002.
Graves, also of Gotham Road and one incarnation of the the post-Danzig Misfits, most recently released a solo record titled Punk Rock Is Dead. It arrived last June on record label Horror High.
