Marathon have broken up. The Reignition Records recording artist announced it today via a message on their Myspace blog. No reason was given for the breakup and the band will be playing their last scheduled show this Sunday in New York City with None More Black and New Mexican Disaster Squad. The band said that they will play "somewhere between 1 and 10 more shows within the next few months."

No future plans have been announced for the various members. The band released their Self-Titled debut album last year.
