The Subcity Take Action Tour has set a March 1st, 2006 date to address the press and politicians at Capitol Hill. The conference is the second event organized by the Take Action group.
Again, the organizers aim to encourage the government to full fund and support suicide prevention efforts in the United States. The speaking panel will include Senator Patrick Kennedy (D, RI), Speakers will include Louis Posen, founder of the Take Action! Tour and president of Hopeless / Sub City Records, Reese Butler, founder and president of the Kristin Brooks Hope Center and many other politicians and prominent musicians.
Tour headliners Matchbook Romance would be performing an acoustic set to close the event.
In 2005 alone, the organization raised more than $65,000 for the National Hopeline Network.
