Tides have posted a pretty huge slew of updates for us. First off, they have added a second guitar player to their lineup. With the departure of electronics and sample-master Benny Nelson to academic and solo endeavors, the band recruited Tim Fickeisen to join their "instru-metal" group.
They will be releasing From Silence, a 3 song 20 minute EP, on March 7th via TeenageDiscoBloodbath Records. The band will be playing a release show on March 11th at the Coolidge Corner Theater in Brookline, MA, with Gregor Samsa and Apse. The EP was recorded by Ethan Dussault (Cave In, Garrison) and mastered by Nick Zampiello (The Red Chord, Cave In, Isis) at New Alliance Studios in Boston.
You can currently preview "The Sight", one of the three tracks at the band's Myspace page. They'll be touring this summer.
