Folk-jazz vocalist Jolie Holland has revealed information for her third full length. Springtime Can Kill You will be a 12 track "song-cycle" and the vocalist says that "if you really listen, you will hear the threads of the song-cycle; crazy dreams, moonshine, mockingbirds…springtime can kill you. Its a pilgrim's progress through the horrors of lust…interspersed with songs of true friendship."

Springtime Can Kill You will be released on Anti/Epitaph Records on May 9th. The album is Holland's second studio album, following Escondia, as her first release Catalpa was a collection of basement tapes and improvisational performances. The vocalist recently recorded a duet with Bad Religion vocalist Gregg Graffin for his upcoming solo release.

Jolie will be performing at SXSW at The Cedar Street Courtyard on March 17th, following Billy Bragg at 10:30pm.
