Raised Fist has set a May 23rd, 2006 date for the North American release of Sound of the Republic, the band's long-awaited follow up to Dedication.

The band worked with producer Daniel Bergstrand (In Flames, Meshuggah), and the album is expected April 7th in Italy, April 12th in Sweden and the rest of Europe on April 10th. The album also marks the debut of drummer Matte Modin's (Dark Funeral).

The album will be the band's first new release since 2002. In the intervening years the band released one track, "Time Will Let You Go, All Alone And Break," for the Heart Attack Vol.1 compilation. The track was a bit of a departure for the group, and was described as ""some industrial hardcore mayhem."

The band will be touring Europe beginning at the end of April.
