Victory act Bury Your Dead are currently putting the final touches on their upcoming full length, tentatively titled Beauty and the Breakdown. The band will be releasing the album on July 11th.
The album is the follow up to their Victory debut, Cover Your Tracks as well as their recent live DualDisc release Alive. In 2005, the band was thrust into the middle of a feud between Ozzfest organizers and Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson but denied all involvement.
Guitarist Slim B discussed the album:
s a band, we feel this record is the equivalent to Dr. Dre's The Chronic. We are excited as hell about this record - [producer Jason Suecof] challenged us to try new things and pushed us to do some things that may surprise people, while retaining and building on our sound. We can't wait to get back on the road and start playing live again, but recording has been the best experience possible.
The band will be touring in advance of the release with an upcoming tour with DevilDriver, Remembering Never, If Hope Dies and Artimus Pyledriver and dates for that tour are expected soon.
