It's Sunday April 9th, 2006. …sigh. There was no joke. That was the joke. The stuff about us planning it for 8 months was just bullshit and somehow people managed to buy THAT aspect of the story more than anything. When the prank became so expected we just couldn't figure out a way to give it the appropriate element of surprise, so instead we went for the reverse-time-warp-nonprank and had you all second guessing everything we've said for the past few weeks. Considering the amount of email and instant messages we've received with people's "theories" (and some of you went back 8 months in stories to look for clues) I think we were at least successful in screwing with your heads a bit. On that level we're quite pleased. Granted, outright lying to you isn't very much of a prank, but we're jerks like that. At least I am. No lie.
