Dreamworks has begun work on a big screen adaptation of Punk Farm.

The original book, by Jarrett J. Krosoczka is a popular children's book about a Cow, Goat, Pig, Sheep, and Chicken who form a band and head to the first-ever animal music fest, Livestock.

The book's official site even has a punk-friendly adaptation of a track for streaming: "Old MacDonald Had a Farm" and "the band" has their own myspace page.

One of the producers explained:

We both loved the idea of this group of farm animals with the rebellious spirit of punk rock.
