Boston's Street Dogs have taken up residence in Los Angeles as they gear up to record their upcoming third full length. The upcoming release is tentatively titled Not Without a Purpose… Not Without a Fight! and the band is recording with producer Ted Hutt(Flogging Molly, Scotch Greens, Bouncing Souls) A release is expected in September.

. The album is the follow up to Back to the World which was released last year. The band has fifteen new songs as well as a new covers, and Tobe described the songs as "Some good anthems, some old school hardcore, some good old fashioned punk rock barn burners, and a few covers." Among the covers, the band will be recording "Power in a Union" by Billy Bragg.

The band is promising dates in July and August with the Adolescents and a "big tour" in September. Later this month, they have a one-off show planned at Knitting Factory in Los Angeles on Saturday May 27.
