In the most recent Alternative Tentacles Batcast, Jesse Lucious speaks with Christian garage rock'n'roll act, Knights of the New Crusade.

The label had this to say:

They have taken a short break from their intensive schedule of religious study and proselytizing audiences across the US and Europe to do a two part interview for their label Alternative Tentacles.

Label employee Jesse Luscious hosts the episodes, and can be heard being doubtful about the wisdom of signing such an outspokenly fundamentalist religous band to the historically spiritually skeptical label owned by Jello Biafra. Other AT artists have strong spiritual beliefs, but none approach the stridency or literalism of the Knights' beliefs.

However, the Knights of the New Crusade's stated objective is to take Christianity back from the powerful hypocrites who have hijacked it and to make Christian rock that actually rocks. Besides, Alternative Tentacles thrives on controversy, especially when it is as double-edged as the swords the band wields on stage. While the Christian scene debates their tactics (you should see the angry e-mails!), the secular underground dukes it out: are they…or aren't they?
