The Thermals' new album The Body, The Blood, The Machine is set for release on August 22nd via Sub Pop. The follow up to 2004's Fuckin A was recorded at Supernatural Sound Studios in Oregon City by Fugazi's Brendan Canty. With the departure of original Thermals drummer in late 2005, bassist Kathy Foster and gutiarist / vocalist Hutch Harris split up the drumming duties (as well as keyboard / organ) during the sessions. The band does have a new drummer now, with Caitlin Love recently joining the Portland band.
The Thermals are headed out to Europe this July for a tour.
