Rory Phillips, formerly of the Impossibles, the Stereo and Slowreader, has launched a new website for his new project Rory Phillips and the Artificial Heart. Joining Rory on the project, is Craig Tweedy, former Impossibles bassist.
The band has posted two streaming tracks on the site, as well as a pre-order of End Prohibition Edition Mixtape, a CD containing songs recorded from 2000 to 2005. The band will be releasing their debut full length later this year, currently titled Computer Literacy. Phillips also states that an accompanying short film will come "maybe someday."
You can preview tracks from the band right here.
The band has also announced what is billed as their "first official show," a June 10th performance at Emo's in Austin, Texas alongside the Riverboat Gamblers.
