The album is obviously not coming out on the 7th. Vagrant emailed me and informed me that is was due to production issues and legal issues, most of which have nothing to do with Hey Mercedes but everything to do with the label (you may have noticed the label's website being closed down recently). I have been assured that it will be out very soon, before or by September, beginning of September at the latest. The reason Bob hasn't changed it on the site is probably due to his being on tour and, honestly, his general lazyness about website stuff. CDNow and Amazon have both let me know that the reason that you can't preorder stuff is due to the fact that a release date is not known. As soon an Vagrant gets a release date out, you will be able to preorder the album. Just keep an eye out! CDNow will carry the vinyl as well as the CD, Amazon so far is only planning to carry the CD. Also Vagrant is very aggressively getting their new releases into stores, so I would think you could find the new release in a store near you on street date. If not, ask around at your local CD store when a release date is announced. As soon as I hear something I will let you know! Truth is even the band knows nothing at this point. I'm sure the album will be well worth the wait.
For now, we'll listen to the EP and see them on tour!
