A metal/hardcore festival bearing the name, Hellfest set to take place in Clisson, France has been announced.

The fest will take place from June 23th to June 25th and feature Motorhead, Dead Kennedys, Agnostic Front, Opeth, GBH, The Haunted, Entombed, Ignite, Boy Sets Fire, Raised Fist, Darkest Hour, Avenged Sevenfold, As I Lay Dying, The Black Dahlia Murder, With Honor, Damnation AD, Guns Up!, Rise and Fall, Ringworm, and many more.

The American version of the festival, which inspired the return of Lifetime, was cancelled at the last minute after a disagreement over the insurance policy between the organizers and the venue. While many issues remain unresolved, no statement has been released on the status from the Hellfest organizers or the venue.
