Pitchfork Media is reporting that Lifetime will release their first new material in 9 years some time this Fall in the form of a 2-track single. The single would precede a full-length scheduled for release in 2007.
While no song or album titles have yet been revealed, it's also being reported that the New Jersey-based melodic hardcore outfit will debut at least one of the tracks on their forthcoming Summer tour with the Bronx and the Loved Ones.
The material will see a release on Decaydence Records, the Fueled by Ramen imprint owned by Fall Out Boy member Pete Wentz to which the highly influential act signed this past March.
The band recently released Somewhere in the Swamps of Jersey, a 2-disc collections album / reissue of 1992's New Age-released Background, while their last proper effort was 1997's Jersey's Best Dancers. Both were released via the band's former label, Jade Tree Records.
