With their new album, The Sufferer and the Witness hitting retail today, contributor William David has done an interview with Rise Against's Tim McIlrath for the latest Top Welt podcast.

He had this to say about the interview:

This very special 4th of July episode of Top Welt! features and in-depth interview with Tim McIlrath from Rise Against, and announces Contest 003, for a copy of the episode signed by Tim. In the interview, the guys talk about the inner-workings of Warped Tour, as well as the basement show they played back in April. The new album, The Sufferer and the Witness is delved into, including recording with Bill Stevenson, the two videos they made, and an explanation of "The Approaching Curve", the surprising spoken-word, story-infused track on the new album.

McIlrath also reveals some touring plans after Warped and the complications of being vegetarian on tour. They also discuss what it's like being a major label punk band and how they stick to their beliefs regardless of what tour they're on, or who is putting out their records.
