Proving that border troubles aren't just for Americans, Canadian Lovitt act The Grey managed to confuse American border security enough to earn the band a five year ban from the country.
According to this story, the troubles began when the band apparently misled border security about the purpose of their visit, which was for a likely non-paying gig across the border.
The oversight cost the band six hours under the hot lights during which the guards could not be convinced that a band would travel and perform "for fun." According to the band, they were informed that:
America is at war, and Canada may not take that seriously […] since 9-11, we take these things seriously.
