Against Me! has enlisted producer Butch Vig to produce their debut for Sire Records. Vig is a veteran producer who famously produced the massively successful Nevermind as well as important records from Sonic Youth, Smashing Pumpkins, Helmet and many others. More recent production jobs include the new album from Jimmy Eat World and bonus tracks on the import of AFI's Decemberunderground.

The band made the jump to Sire last winter, which led to an active exchange of ideas on the Punknews.org boards. Since then, the band has played the main stage on the Warped Tour, and debuted new material via their live disc Americans Abroad!!! Against Me!!! Live in London!!!.
