Retailer West49 has announced the lineup for the 2006 Canadian Open launch party, set to take place on September 28th in Hamilton, Ontario. Rise Against have been confirmed as headliners with supporting acts by: Boys Night Out, Hostage Life, and Richmond Hill.

The event kicks off what is described as Eastern Canada's biggest skateboarding event with street and vert skateboarders competing for $75,000 in prize money. Pro skateboarders participating include Shaun White, Bucky Lasek, Canadian Pierre-Luc Gagnon Ryan Sheckler, Chris Haslem, Eric Koston, Lacey Baker, Lin-Z Adams and many others.
