In what they present as an alternative to the "suffering" caused by Barney, Rafi or The Wiggles, Go Kart has announced the details of their new compilation, Brats On The Beat: Ramones For Kids. A portion of proceeds from Brats on the Beat goes to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
The album takes classic Ramones tracks and "kiddifies" them; the disc is due out November 21st, 2006. Participants include Matt Skiba (Alkaline Trio/Heavens), Jim Lindberg (Pennywise), Greg Attonito (Bouncing Souls), Tony Reflex (Adz and Adolescents), Jack Grisham (TSOL), Blag Dahlia (The Dwarves) and more.
You can check out some samples on the comp's myspace page. You can also make friends with a compilation there, which is an incredible feat when you think about it.
