Cursive has launched a new site to coincide with a remix contest. The contest is asking people to take the band's track, "Bad Sects" and create a remix using the individual separated tracks. The tracks are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution NonCommercial ShareAlike license.
Remixes can then be submitted to Saddle Creek for the Bad Sects Remix Contest. Cursive will listen to all remixes and post some of their favorites on the remix site. The winning remix will be used as a b-side on a future Cursive single, with other Cursive related prizes for 5 runners up as well.
The song comes from the band's 2006 full length, Happy Hollow.
You can check out the remix site here.
