After recently breaking all ties with "emo", Panic! At the Disco has begun discussing the follow up to their successful full length debut, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out.
The band's frontman Brendon Urie told Billboard:
The next album is going to be stuff that we've never tried before. That's the stuff that interests us in our music -- just exploring new instruments we've never tried and new sounds that are appealing to us. You'll find a lot of stuff you'd never expect. We hope to please, and we're gonna spend a lot of time on it.
The band is planning to begin work on their next album in January. Before that, they will be performing as part of NBC's third annual "New Year's Eve With Carson Daly." The band will perform two songs during the one-hour special, which will air December 31 at 11:30 p.m.
