Sibling duo Meg & Dia have participated in a new anti-fur at for PETA2.
In the ad, the two sisters appear in peta2 T-shirts and Dia holds a rabbit in her lap next to the tagline "Be a Bunny's Honey--Don't Wear Fur." Visitors to peta2.com can view video footage from the shoot, complete with Meg and Dia's thoughts about why animals deserve respect. The ad is being released to coincide with "Fur-Free Friday" on November 24, a day of action against the fur trade marked by scores of protests and other events across the country.
According to PETA2, Dia wasn't far off with her comparison between dogs and cats and animals killed for fur. China--where not a single law exists to protect animals on fur farms--has become the world's leading exporter of fur. An undercover investigation found that millions of dogs and cats in China are bludgeoned, hanged, strangled with wire nooses, and bled to death for their fur, which is often deliberately mislabeled as fur from other species.
