: The Filthy Thieving Bastards, the mainly accoustic side band of Johnny Bonnel and Darius Koski of the Swingin' Utters, are releasng a full length album on BYO in November. It's going to be called A Melody of Retreads and Broken Quills. Apparently they announced it a while ago, but this is the first I've heard of it. THE FILTHY THIEVING BASTARDS new 15 song full length, "A Melody Of Retreads & Broken Quills" is set for release on Nov. 13, 2001. This incredible new band is the brainchild of Johnny Bonnel and Darius Koski from street punk legends The Swingin Utters. The new album is the anticipated follow up to last years 9 song e.p., "Our Fathers Sent Us", on TKO Records, and is a refreshing break from the Utters more amplified sound. They rounded up Bassist Spike Slawson (also Me First's lead vox), and guitarist Greg Lisher from the infamous Camper Van Beethovan to blast out these tracks.
