Some more details have surfaced about Jimmy Eat World and their upcoming sixth full length. The album's producer, Butch Vig, spoke to billboard.com about the record saying:

The record is quite eclectic,There are three or four songs that sound like classic Jimmy Eat World, with angular, razor-sharp guitars. There are a couple that are a lot more dreamy, and some that are very groove-acious. Anybody who is fan will like this record.

California-based Vig would spend three or four days at a time in Arizona with the group, while engineer Chris Testa was there for the entire session. Besides the eclectic sounds, Amy Ross of Nowhere Man And A Whiskey Girl has contributed backing vocals to a number of selections from the album, with her voice set to appear on at least four songs.

The as-yet-untitled set is due in early summer via Interscope and was recorded at the band's rehearsal space in Tempe, Ariz. It is the band's first new studio full length since Futures, though the band has since released the Stay on My Side Tonight EP and will soon be reissuing some of their classic albums.
