Ion Dissonance have announced that they're getting ready to record their third album and follow-up to 2005's Solace. The band will be recording at Planet Z Studios (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall) with Zeus for three weeks beginning in February. The band had this to say about the album:

The album is really heavy and it's some of the best stuff we've ever written!! We're really confident that Zeuss will be able to represent the band's personality and the sound we always searched for. It should be released early summer.

The new album will mark the first material the band has made since their previous vocalist left the band and was replaced by Kevin McCaughey.

Next week the band will play a few dates in Southern Ontario where they'll test out some of their new material.
