Gamespot is reporting on the heavily punk/indie/metal focused soundtrack for MLB 2007, the upcoming baseball game from 2K Sports.
The sports franchise has always had an eclectic soundtrack, with the 2K6 version of the game featuring music from Yo La Tengo, Pavement, and Pretty Girls Make Graves.
For this outing, the company is stretching beyond the Matador catalog, enlisting everyone from Death From Above 1979, Les Savy Fav, the Jealous Sound and the Thermals to Nirvana, the Specials,the Pixies and the Stooges. Even a Nerf Herder song (and not "Van Halen") makes an appearance.
